Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 mods flood Steam Workshop after official modding tools added with v1.2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s big 1.2 update is now live, bringing native mod integration through Steam Workshop and a new barber feature. Warhorse Studios announced the update, stating, “Bohemia is yours to shape. Official modding support for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is now live on Steamworks!” The studio further added, “Whether you want to tweak mechanics, expand the world, or forge entirely new adventures, the tools are in your hands.”
While a number of mods for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 have already been available on Nexus Mods, Steam Workshop support will now make it easier for players to download and install mods without jumping through various hoops. Additionally, mod makers will have more flexibility, as the toolkit allows them to modify over 300 game elements, “from UI and combat mechanics to RPG elements and AI behavior,” PCGamer details. You can do a deeper dive into the modding tools and how to use them here.
Over 100 mods have already landed in the Steam Workshop
At the time of writing, over 100 mods are already available for download, including a Free Saving mod that provides infinite saving, the Helmet of Henry VIII, which adds a horned helmet for Henry to wear, and even a Pebbles the Zebra mod that visually transforms Henry’s horse into a zebra. While the modding section isn’t as populated as the thousands of KCD II mods available on Nexus, we expect a lot more to join soon.

Apart from that, the second major highlight is that Henry can now visit a barber NPC in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg to get a haircut and optionally choose a new beard style. And it’s not just cosmetic either, as the developers mentioned that “a fresh trim temporarily buffs Henry's charisma, making him even more charming.”
