Epic Games has been giving away free games for years. Every week, they put up at least one game that you can claim and keep forever. All you need is an Epic Games account, and you can build a massive game collection without spending a single dollar.

In the past, Epic Games has offered big titles like Sifu, Hell Let Loose, Death Stranding, and GTA V. Now, they have added Humankind to the list, and if you love history and strategy games, this is a game you don't want to miss.

Humankind is free on Epic Games right now

Humankind is a turn-based strategy game where you lead your civilization through different eras of history. You begin in ancient times and advance through different civilizations, building cities, spreading influence, and fighting wars to shape the world in your own way.

The game lets you build cities and expand your empire, face historical events, make important decisions, discover natural wonders, make scientific breakthroughs, and command your armies in turn-based battles.

Another interesting feature is that you can create your own avatar, who will serve as the leader of your civilization. As your civilization grows and changes, so does your avatar’s appearance. You can also level up your avatar using a meta-progression system, unlocking new outfits and custom looks.

At the time of writing, the game has over 20,000 reviews on Steam. While overall reviews are mixed, the recent reviews are Mostly Positive. Also, keep in mind that Humankind is free until tomorrow, February 13th, so make sure to grab it as quickly as you can. Beyond Blue, a single-player narrative adventure is also currently free on Epic Games until tomorrow, so make sure to add it to your library as well.
