Lenovo Legion Go, which is Lenovo’s handheld gaming console, was released in October 2023 last year. Since then, the console has received useful updates, but it still lacked official accessories that’d boost user experience, like a dock station or a portable carry case. However, Legion Go users will not have to rely on third-party accessories, as Lenovo has announced official accessories for the console.

The Legion Go is a popular alternative to handhelds such as the Steam Deck, or the ASUS ROG Ally; the latter is also based on Windows 11 and uses the same Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. One thing Lenovo’s offering boasts is a larger QHD+ screen resolution (and larger screen size to match), making purpose-fit accessories all the more important.

These Legion Go accessories will be available this year

As per the story posted on Lenovo’s official website, the accessories for the Legion Go handheld include a USB-C dock, charging station, carry case, joystick, joystick caps, two monitors, and a mini keyboard.

Here are more details on the accessories that have been announced for Legion Go:

  • Lenovo Legion Go USB-C Dock: Much like the name suggests, this will be a docking station for the handheld device. The dock will feature a USB-C power port, a full-function Type-C port, a 1G RJ45 port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 port that can support up to 4K at 60Hz.
  • Lenovo Legion Go Charging Connector: With this, Lenovo Legion Go’s detachable TrueStrike controllers can be turned into a single, chargeable controller.
  • Lenovo Legion R27qc-30 and R32qc-30 monitors: These two monitors (27-inch and 31.5-inch) will feature 1500R curved displays, up to 180Hz refresh rate, and 0.5ms. Both monitors will come with two HDMI 2.1 ports and a single DP1.4 port.
  • Lenovo Multi-Device Bluetooth Mini Keyboard: This mini keyboard has a 75% layout and lets users switch between three devices. The keyboard weighs only 180g and is just 5.6mm thick.
  • Lenovo Legion Go Joystick and Joystick Caps: These are made of “extra grippy textured material” and promise to improve gameplay for FPS and racing titles.
  • Lenovo Legion Go Carry Case: This hard shell, dual-zip case can fit in the console along with the power adapter, FPS Mode controller puck, portable keyboard, earphones, and other accessories.

The above accessories will not be released all at once. For better clarity, here are the release dates and prices according to Lenovo’s press release. Do keep in mind this is relevant to EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Dates and pricing differ per region, with the US expected to see the Dock launch first sometime in August 2024.
