Lenovo Legion Go S is the best Steam Deck alternative right now thanks to $200 discount, despite end of Cyber Monday
Table of Contents
Cyber Monday and Black Friday are officially over after a week filled with big discounts on thousands of products. Most products involved in the sales have returned to their original prices, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some stragglers remaining. One of those is no other than Lenovo’s Legion Go S handheld. If you’ve been eyeing up this device, you’ll be happy to learn that the handheld is still available with a massive $200 discount.
The Lenovo Legion Go S received a 30% discount on the official Lenovo store for Cyber Monday. However, even though the sales event is over, the discount is still available, which means you can take it home for only $449.99 instead of its usual $649.99 price tag. This is for the SteamOS model – the same operating system that ships with Valve’s very own Steam Deck. The Valve handheld was also on sale over the Black Friday period, but has since returned to full price.
Lenovo Legion Go S (SteamOS version)
As we said, this is the SteamOS version, which was praised as “So much better than the Windows version” by reviewers upon its launch. So, you can enjoy a Steam Deck-like experience but with newer-gen hardware, a larger screen, and more storage space than Valve’s standard LCD model.

What are the specs?
As for what the handheld offers, it is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 Go processor, which boasts a base clock speed of 3.00 GHz. However, it can go up to 4.30 GHz for better performance. The integrated graphics are RDNA 2-based, which provides enough graphics power to run modern games. For the display, it has an 8″ WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS touchscreen. It has a peak brightness of up to 500 nits, meaning it can be used outdoors and in well-lit environments. Plus, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate, the visuals are nice and smooth, which is especially important for fast-paced content.
For storage, it offers a 512GB M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD, which will be enough for most users. Plus, with an SSD, you can expect fast game load and boot times. The handheld also comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which will ensure everything runs and operates smoothly. As for cooling, it’s handled by the Legion ColdFront, which offers a combination of high-speed fans and large heat sinks. These work together to ensure the handheld stays cool, especially during long gaming sessions. The handheld is also very portable at just 1.61 lbs, so you can game on the go without too many worries.
