Lenovo Legion Pro ultrawide gaming laptop confirmed following leak, but it’s just a proof-of-concept for now

Last month, a leak claimed that Lenovo was working on an ultrawide Legion Pro gaming laptop and planned to show it during CES 2026. And now that CES is officially here, the leak has proven to be accurate, as Lenovo has confirmed the device (as a prototype) and revealed several interesting details about the design.
Lenovo has unveiled the Legion Pro Rollable concept. At first glance, it looks like a standard 16-inch Legion Pro gaming laptop, similar to the regular pro models. However, what makes it different is the rollable display. The screen can expand horizontally, turning the laptop into an ultrawide gaming system. We’ve already seen the brand do something similar for its ThinkBook range.
Legion Pro Rollable concept revealed
Lenovo explained that the display uses a dual-motor, tension-based mechanism. This system keeps the panel taut while it expands and contracts, helping reduce vibration and noise during movement. Thanks to this, the transition feels smooth and controlled instead of fragile. Lenovo also uses low-friction materials inside the mechanism to protect the panel from wear during repeated use.
The display itself is an OLED panel, which means users can expect deep blacks, strong contrast, and vivid colors. Lenovo refers to it as a PureSight OLED gaming display, designed specifically for high-end gaming and competitive use.
The screen offers multiple size modes depending on how much space the user needs. In Focus Mode, the display stays at 16 inches. When more screen space is needed, the panel expands to 21.5 inches in Tactical Mode. Finally, the display can then fully expand to 24 inches in Arena Mode, creating a true ultrawide experience. Lenovo positions this as a way for esports players to travel with a compact laptop while still training on a large screen.

Internally, the Legion Pro Rollable concept is based on the Legion Pro 7i. Lenovo says it is equipped with top-end Intel Core Ultra processors and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, which is the most powerful mobile gaming graphics out there. This setup is aimed at delivering top-tier gaming performance and advanced AI features.
It is important to note that this device is only a concept. Lenovo has not shared any pricing details or a release window. There is no confirmation that the Legion Pro Rollable will ever become a consumer product, but its reveal shows how Lenovo is experimenting with new form factors for high-end gaming laptops.
