Of course, at the time of writing this, nothing official has been confirmed by AMD – but the date has been referenced a few times before. According to a VideoCardz post, XFX claimed that more information would be “coming soon 24.1.24” – which aligns with the latest sightings.
We’ll be taking that date with a pinch of salt until AMD announces something more permanent – but it’s encouraging signs for a Q1 release, regardless.
ASUS Turkey tease RX 9070 and 9070 XT on X
Something a little more concrete, however, is the latest X post from ASUS Turkey – where the brand claims the cards will be “coming soon!”.
While no official dates have been stated yet, things are definitely heating up around the card’s potential launch. This could be well timed from AMD, especially when you factor in the latest backlash Nvidia is receiving over the performance uplift of its 50 Series range.
If AMD could strike at the right time, highlighting a clear uplift in raw performance, they could be on to a real winner here. Of course, only time will tell how the RX 9070 and 9070 XT will be received, but it seems like Nvidia is giving Team Red a glimmer of hope this week.
