For a while now, Nvidia has been working on an app that will serve as a one-stop solution and replace the GeForce Experience. The app was first introduced in February of this year and has been in development since then. And it looks like users won’t have to wait too long for the final release.

Yesterday, Nvidia announced that the all new Nvidia App will be launched by the end of the year. Along with that, the existing GeForce Experience, which has been serving users for about a decade, will be discontinued.

This app provides a new, user-friendly way to manage your GPUs, effortlessly update drivers, and optimize game performance, all without the hassle of signing in.

RTX HDR, G-Sync controls, and more have been added to the Nvidia App beta

In the same announcement, Nvidia said that the app has received quite a few updates. To start with, the app now has G-Sync controls added to the GPU control center. With this, users can now toggle the VRR on and off.

The next major addition is the support for the RTX HDR Multi-Monitor. The RTX HDR is an AI-powered game filter that adds HDR to non-HDR content. So, if you have an HDR-compatible monitor, you can use the RTX HDR to SDR games running DX12, DX11, DX9, and Vulkan.

Another feature added here is the Driver rollback. The Nvidia App will let users easily revert to older drivers that have been installed via the app. Users will have to update the app, install a new driver, and the rollback option will appear at the bottom of the Drivers window.

Over the last few months, the Nvidia App has received quite a few updates. For instance, in August, Display Settings and RTX Video Super Resolution, along with some other tweaks, were added. In June, support for AV1 SDR and HDR video encoding was introduced.

Further, Nvidia plans to add the remaining NVIDIA Control Panel settings to this new app so users will be able to access all settings in one place. Some of the features mentioned in the announcement are Surround options, custom resolutions, and multi-monitor setup.

When the new Nvidia App officially gets out of beta and is released fully, users will be migrated away to the new app. At the moment, users who want to experience the new features can head over to the official site and download the Nvidia App beta
