Why you should consider these Prime Day laptop deals

All these deals come from trusted gaming laptop brands – Acer, ASUS, and MSI. So whether you’re looking for a current-gen model or hoping to save the pennies even more with older hardware, you can rely on these brands. With that said, here are some of the reasons why we think these are some great Prime Day laptop deals.

Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics

RTX desktop graphics cards have long dominated the GPU market share, and it remains this way in 2026. The same goes for gaming laptops, which feature cut-down variants to fit inside the smaller form factor. All RTX graphics cards offer ray tracing support, along with support for the DLSS technologies (DLSS 4.5 is the latest version until DLSS 5 arrives this fall).

With the latest RTX 50 series models, you enjoy access to Multi Frame Generation and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation technologies, ideal for boosting performance on the more limited laptop GPU spec. Likewise, the 40 series offers regular Frame Generation support, which aims to double your framerate. All RTX generations support the latest upscaling models.

Solid alternative to mini PC gaming

These laptop deals offer an excellent alternative to mini PC gaming hardware. Take the newly launched Steam Machine, for example. The cubed mini PC from Valve starts at $1,049 for the 512GB model with 16GB RAM, with a graphics card roughly equivalent to AMD’s RX 7600. That’s a GPU that easily falls behind the likes of the RTX 5060.

These deals are exclusive to Amazon Prime members, and you don’t have long to make the most of them. Many are (or are close to) record-low prices, which is impressive given shortage-related price hikes. It’s one of the best times of the year to upgrade.

Would you buy a bare bones Steam Machine?

Would you buy a variant of the Steam Machine with no RAM and/or no SSD and install them separately to help save on costs?
