Nvidia graphics driver issues acknowledged by inZOI and Khazan devs as rollback recommended

Those who managed to actually buy one of Nvidia's elusive RTX 50 series GPUs are facing yet further problems as developers warn of instability after a driver update. Worse, this problem is even hitting RTX 40 series owners, too.
Reports began emerging last week that a certain driver update was causing widespread instability problems for users of RTX 40 series graphics cards. Now it seems that these problems are also affecting the RTX 50 series. Nvidia GPU updates identified as 572.XX has been causing several problems, including performance issues, freezing, black screens, and crashing.
Game developers are suggesting you roll back Nvidia drivers
The development teams behind games such as inZOI and The First Berserker: Khazan have been tracking the problems and have now issued a warning to players not to use the affected drivers. Developer inZOI studio issued a notice to players in its Hotfix Update, which includes a driver recommendation.
We'd also like to share the recommended graphics driver versions to help ensure a smoother gameplay experience, especially in response to recent issues reported in certain environments.
If you are using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX series GPU, please check the following:
Source: v0.1.2 patch notes on Steam
- RTX 50 Series → Driver version 572.83 (latest)
- RTX 40 Series → Driver version 566.36 (released December 2024)
- Using driver versions 572.xx or later may result in occasional frame drops or stuttering
- RTX 30 Series or earlier → Latest driver recommended
- If issues persist, we recommend installing version 566.36
For RTX 50 series users, the latest driver is recommended: Driver version 572.83. For RTX 40 users, however, rolling back to Driver Version 566.36 is suggested for the best experience. There have previously been reports from users that rolling back to Driver version 566.36 fixed the instability issues.
Likewise, Neople, the developers behind The First Berserker: Khazan, have also informed players using RTX 40 series cards to roll back to version %66.36, and also advise RTX 50 and RTX 30 series users to make sure they are on the latest driver.
Unfortunately, it seems that RTX 50 users are stuck, as Driver version 566.36 does not support the RTX 50 cards, since that driver was published before those GPUs were released. RTX 50 series users have to update to the latest version and hope for the best. Or pray that Nvidia gets to the bottom of the issue and issues a proper fix this time.
