Nvidia still hasn’t fixed the game filters performance bug in latest Nvidia App update
Table of Contents
Nvidia seems to be under a lot of pressure right now, and with so much surrounding their RTX 50 series GPUs, it looks like the green team might have forgotten (or delayed) a performance issue fix with their Nvidia App. For context, last year, users started reporting performance issues in games while using the Nvidia App, causing significant FPS drops. Soon after, it was revealed that the issue had something to do with the Game Filters and Photo Mode options, and turning them off was the recommended fix.
While this worked as a temporary solution, we were expecting Nvidia to bring a permanent fix with their next Nvidia App update, but it seems like that isn't happening. Nvidia has released the NVIDIA App 11.0.2.337, which includes just an update to the DLSS model.
What's new in NVIDIA app 11.0.2.337
The latest “337” Nvidia App update is part of the previous 11.0.2 release, which introduced GeForce RTX 50 features like Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Overrides, and Smooth Motion technology. This update seems to focus specifically on DLSS Override, which should now offer a newer Transformer K model. Aside from that, the update also brings some minor fixes and improvements, but nothing addressing the Game Filters bug.
Minor Updates

- This release contains minor fixes and improvements.
- Updated DLSS Overrides to include the latest transformer K model for DLSS Super Resolution.
On the bright side, Nvidia did at least acknowledge the Game Filters issue, as they are now disabled by default due to their impact on gaming performance. For those who still want to use them, let’s hope the next update brings a proper fix.
