Nvidia has finally announced the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti, with the Ti model set to launch tomorrow, April 16th. These two GPUs were not revealed during CES 2025, but leaks and rumors over the past few months made it clear that a release was coming soon.

Now that they are official, there's some good news for gamers planning to go for the Ti version. This time, you won't have to pay a big difference just to get the 16GB version of the card.

Not a massive price difference between the 8GB and 16GB model

For those who may not remember, Nvidia released the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB back in May 2023, with a launch price of $399. Just two months later, in July 2023, the 4060 Ti 16GB came out, but with a much higher price tag of $499. That was a full $100 difference just for 8GB of extra VRAM. For this reason, many were hesitant to buy the 16GB model. But with the RTX 5060 Ti, Nvidia is taking a different approach.

According to Nvidia, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB will launch at $379, while the 16GB version will be priced at $429. Both cards are launching on April 16th, and this time, the difference between the two versions is just $50. That makes the 16GB model more affordable and easier to consider for those who want the extra memory for games or creative work.

However, keep in mind that these prices are the MSRPs from Nvidia. Some models from board partners might come with higher prices depending on the cooling, design, and features they offer.

In any case, the RTX 5060 Ti is looking like a solid choice for budget-focused gamers and PC builders. While reviews aren’t live yet, Nvidia claims that the card will deliver up to double the performance of the 4060 Ti in many games. The latest DLSS features will also help boost performance, especially in demanding titles.

If the reviews support Nvidia's claims, we might see a lot of people switching over to this card in the coming weeks. Also, make sure to check out our Where to Buy RTX 5060 Ti page, where we’ve listed all major retailers who will be offering this GPU when it launches.
