After being available in early access since early 2024, Palworld is finally set to receive its full 1.0 release. The wait is almost over for version 1.0 and the end of early access. It’s also worth noting that the game is still 30% off in the Steam Summer Sale (which ends soon), so don’t miss out on the generous discount if you plan to pick up the game for the first time.

Version 1.0 is said to be Palworld’s biggest update yet – ‘so big it will shock you’ – as Pocketpair has teased a large amount of new content, including new Pals, new bosses, new items, story additions, and gameplay improvements. In fact, the company’s Head of Publishing, John “Bucky” Buckley, even reported having some trouble fitting all the patch notes into a single Steam post.

When will Palworld 1.0 be released?

According to Pocketpair, Palworld 1.0 will arrive “around midday” on July 10 in Japan, where the company is based. The devs suggest ~12:30 PM local time, which translates to 8:30 PM Pacific Time on July 9. Due to time zone differences, the release time will be different for everyone, with NA getting it late at night and Europe early next morning.

  • Los Angeles – 8:30 PM PST (July 9)
  • New York – 11:30 PM EST (July 9)
  • London – 4:30 AM BST (July 10)
  • Berlin – 5:30 AM CET (July 10)
  • Tokyo – 12:30 PM JST (July 10)
  • Sydney – 1:30 PM AEST (July 10)

To make things easier for you, we’ve added a countdown clock below, which will help you track the exact hours, minutes, and seconds left until Palworld 1.0 launches. Please note that it will disappear once expired.

What will Palworld 1.0 offer?

The Palworld 1.0 update is shaping up to be a major expansion of the game’s world and systems. Pocketpair has confirmed that players can continue using their existing save files, but the studio recommends starting a new game for the best experience. This is because version 1.0 introduces a revised story, new locations, and overhauled mechanics that are designed to provide a fresh experience from the beginning.

One of the biggest highlights of the update is the addition of new Pals. Trailers and teasers have already showcased a variety of creatures, including a massive sky dragon, a mysterious guardian near the World Tree, a fire-breathing dragon, a panda-like companion, a giant whale, and a swordfish-style Pal that can be used as a weapon.

Version 1.0 will also bring new weapons, armor, and gear, including a Wing Pack for player movement. Tower Boss Battles are also being overhauled to make encounters more dynamic and engaging, while the Sanctuaries are receiving unique ecosystems with rare Pals, special materials, powerful bosses, barriers, and drones. The island of Palpagos is also being expanded with new areas to explore and improvements to existing regions. Overall, the update is shaping up to be a massive one, and for those interested, the wait will be over soon.
