Yet another ultrawide 34-inch Philips Evnia display has been unveiled, one week after the 200Hz Evnia 34M2C5601QA. This week, we’re getting something more premium thanks to a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel and a higher 280Hz refresh rate. The upgraded specs are reflected in the price, with the new Evnia 34M2C8600P setting customers back £779 in the UK.

The premium gaming model also ships with support for Ambiglow and AmbiScape, which have become the standard on these sleek Evnia models. Ambiglow is ambient lighting technology built into the back of the monitor, projecting light behind to match what’s on screen and creating a halo effect. AmbiScape extends this idea to synchronise supported smart lights within your space.

Amsterdam, 17 September 2026 – Philips Evnia introduces the 34M2C8600P, a 34-inch (86.4 cm) curved ultrawide gaming monitor that combines 5th Gen QD-OLED picture quality with a refresh rate of up to 280 Hz. Designed for gaming and everyday work, it also brings AI-enhanced Ambiglow, AmbiScape, USB-C connectivity, and an integrated KVM switch to users’ setups.

Ultrawide immersion with QD-OLED picture quality

The Evnia 34M2C8600P features a 34-inch, 21:9 UltraWide display with a 1800R curvature. Its wider aspect ratio gives players more horizontal screen space to track fast-moving action and read detailed interfaces. The curved panel also brings the edges of the display closer to the players’ natural field of view, creating a more immersive viewing experience.

This 5th Gen QD-OLED panel combines self-illuminating pixels with an Anti-Reflection coating and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Deep blacks and precise contrast help preserve detail across dark scenes and bright areas.

The display covers 99.3% of the DCI-P3 colour space and supports 1.07 billion (10-bit) colours, delivering smooth colour transitions across games, movies, and creative applications, while Anti-Reflection reduces distracting reflections in brighter rooms.

Smooth motion at up to 280 Hz

A refresh rate of up to 280 Hz delivers smooth motion during fast-paced gameplay. Quick camera movements, racing sequences, and rapid changes in direction remain clear with the high refresh rate, while the 0.03 ms GtG response time enables blazing-fast pixel transitions.

Adaptive-Sync helps reduce visible screen tearing and stutter when frame rates change, combining responsive performance with the colour, contrast, and detail of the QD-OLED panel.

The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600P supports a 3440 x 1440 resolution with a refresh rate of up to 280 Hz. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, and one USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and up to 90 W Power Delivery.

Let the room play along

AI-enhanced Ambiglow analyses the image on screen and continuously adapts the colour and brightness of the light projected from behind the monitor. The effect extends on-screen colours onto the wall behind, allowing the room to follow the action in real time.

AmbiScape lets users pair and control up to 10 Matter-certified smart lights, adjusting brightness, colour temperature, saturation, and hue from a single interface. Once enabled, AmbiScape keeps connected room lighting matched to on-screen content in real time, extending the game’s atmosphere into the room.

Philips Evnia Precision Center gives users access to monitor settings, gaming controls, personalisation options, and AmbiScape lighting controls from one application.

One display for gaming and everyday work

The Evnia 34M2C8600P is also designed for setups that combine gaming with streaming, creative work, or daily productivity. Its USB-C connection carries video and data while delivering up to 90 W of power to a compatible laptop, reducing the need for a separate charger.

The integrated USB hub keeps peripherals connected, while the built-in KVM switch allows one keyboard and mouse to control two systems.

MultiView can display content from two connected devices through Picture-in-Picture or Picture-by-Picture modes. The stand offers 150 mm of height adjustment, tilt, and swivel, while two integrated 5 W speakers and a headphone output provide additional audio options.

The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600P will be available for purchase from October 2026 and at an MSRP of £779.
