Nvidia has started its own summer sale following the success of Steam’s own the previous few weeks. Although it’s not for its graphics card range, but rather for its subscription-based cloud gaming service. Now you can get 50% off GeForce Now memberships and get an upgraded gaming experience without having to buy a whole new gaming PC.

It is a worthy solution if you don’t want to splash out straight away, and it’s certainly a cheaper solution than a dedicated option if you’re only wanting to game. The library can be a bit limited but with over 1800 games you should find most of the games you need after you’ve connected up your libraries.

GeForce Now features and requirements

There are of course different tiers of GeForce Now. They offer different features and prices and you can find the one that suits you best and not have to pay more than you need. Plus there are day passes in case you want to try the bigger version if you want to test it or a free one as well to see first instead.

But the free option is a basic option, with standard access, with only a 1-hour session length, and it is ad-supported. Whilst the Priority upgrades that to a more premium rig featuring RTX, priority to access, a 6-hour session, up to 1080p resolution, up to 60 FPS, and no ads. Lastly, the UIltimate gets you an exclusive RTX 4080 rig, an 8-hour session, up to 4k res, up to 240FPS, and no ads.

If you are interested, the system requirements are nothing too extensive and very broad as you can play this on basically any OS, handheld, or TV. The likes of a Windows PC need a 64-bit Windows 7 or late, dual-core x86 or x64 CPU at 2GHz, 4GB of RAM, and a GPU with DX 11. But for Internet, you need 15-45Mbps minimum depending on your resolution. But since you can play it on your browser as well, Mac Device, ChromOS, Android, iOS, handheld, Shield, Smart, or Android TV, it’s a very versatile option now for cheap.
