Ryzen 9000X3D CPU appears on ASUS website in preparation for 800 series motherboards

Table of Contents
Earlier this month, AMD launched the Ryzen 9000 series of processors, which includes Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 9700X, Ryzen 9 9900X, and Ryzen 9950X. As you can see, the lineup currently includes only four processors, and the “X3D” equivalents have not been included.
To date, the Ryzen 9000X3D processor has been rumored. However, there is no concrete information about it, and AMD has not confirmed it either. However, a recent mention on the ASUS website seems to suggest that the CPU is in the works – which is more than likely at this point given the series’ success.

New ASUS X890E/X890 motherboards will be compatible with 9000X3D CPUs
As per a post on X by momomo_us, the ASUS website mentions that the new X890E/X890 motherboards will work with the upcoming 9000 X3D processor. The post also has a link to an ASUS microsite (featuring the new motherboards), which includes references to Ryzen 9000X3D. In fact, the URL itself mentions “AM5 Ryzen 9000 X3D”.
If you don't know, AMD has a few “X3D” CPUs that are tailored for gaming builds. These CPUs feature AMD's proprietary 3D V-Cache technology, which provides a massive cache for frequently accessed game data. This extra cache helps reduce memory latency and allows the CPU to access data more quickly, so players get smoother game performance in some titles.
At the moment, AMD has quite a few X3D chips on the market. There are the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D from the Ryzen 7000 series. Along with this, there are a few options from the Ryzen 5000 series as well – the 5800X3D and 5700X3D.
It should be noted that AMD has not confirmed any 9000X3D processors by name. Other than a mention, the ASUS site says nothing about a release date, price, or even specs. However, with this new leak, it seems possible that we'll see a new X3D processor very soon.
In case you missed it, AMD released the next generation of desktop CPUs earlier in August. So far, the processors have garnered mixed reviews, and the sales have been underwhelming so far.
