AMD has officially released the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X, and users can purchase the new CPUs via retailers.
After postponing the launch of the Ryzen 9000 series processors by a few weeks, AMD has finally rolled out two of the AM5 CPUs from its lineup today. The other two CPUs – Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X will be released a few days later.
Ryzen 7 9700X priced at $359, and Ryzen 5 9600X selling for $279
At the time of writing, the new AMD processors are available on Newegg, BestBuy, and B&H Photo in the US. The entry-level Ryzen 5 9600X is priced at $279, while the mid-range Ryzen 7 9700X is selling at the price of $359.
Earlier this week, AMD finally revealed the prices of the Ryzen 9000 series CPUs, which were as competitive as we expected. In fact, the prices are $20 to $50 lower than the previous generation Ryzen 7000 series CPUs.
The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors are now available in the US as per AMD’s renewed schedule. So, it is safe to assume that the Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X will be released on August 15th as planned.
As mentioned, these CPUs are currently available in the US. So far, there has been no official word on when the processors will arrive in the UK. In fact, a retailer in the UK suggested that the Zen 5 CPU release in the UK could be delayed by another week.
