Bethesda games are pretty popular with the modding community; the endless amount of Skyrim mods demonstrates that perfectly. And while Starfield may have not taken off to the same extent, the game does still get regular fan-made mods uploaded to sites such as Nexus Mods.
Recently, we’ve come across a couple of great mods for the game, such as Seamless City Interiors which helps cut down on loading screens in major cities. But now, we want to feature something perfect for Star Wars fans who want to inject the Starfield universe with some familiar characters and weapons.
Star Wars blasters and melee ‘complete replacer mod’
There’s an ongoing project to port a wide range of Star Wars characters and weaponry into the game from several contributors on Nexus Mods, including crozzbow and radicalclownfriend, both Verified Mod Authors. Among their work, you’ll find iconic characters such as Chewbacca and Boba Fett. In any case, the particular mod we want to talk about today is a complete pack – not just a one-off model swap. This is listed on Nexus Mods as ‘Star Wars Blasters and Melee‘ and includes “75 new unique weapons + various recolored variations.”
Prior to this collection, you’d be scraping different weapon replacer mods together, but this unites them under one roof. The features are listed below:
- All weapons will be replaced with counterparts from the Star Wars universe (only Cutter is still vanilla)
- Truly unique weapon variations you can buy in shops or get as quest rewards
- New laser projectile (now with high speed so your shots connect with your targets more reliably)
- New stun projectiles for EM weapons
- Modable scopes for all weapons that use one.
- Optional cosmetic scope modifications for third-person
- New ammunition boxes and names
- Weapons use their own iconic sounds, including NPCs
- New weapon UI icons
It was back in July when we first saw mention of a Stars Wars mod for Bethesda’s Starfield, including this ambitious ‘complete overhaul’ modification from back in July. We can’t actually seem to find any connection between the two, so it’s looking like Nexus Mods is the best place to be if you want to turn Starfield into a Star Wars experience as mods are regularly being uploaded and updated.
