As per a well-known leaker on X, the popular video game Crash Bandicoot might be coming to Game Pass as soon as next month. More specifically, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy would be available on the pass. This rumor comes a few days after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Valorant were slated to arrive on the subscription service by the same leaker. As per extas1s, these two games might soon be making their way to the Pass.

In case you aren’t aware, Game Pass comprises two different products: Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. This subscription service is a great way of playing new games without buying them individually, especially since the N. Sane Trilogy will set you back $39.99 if you were to buy it through Steam right now.

Leaker 100% “confirms” that Crash Bandicoot is coming to Game Pass

The Spanish leaker extas1s is 100% sure that the 3 Crash Bandicoot games will become available on the Game Pass on August 8th, which is roughly two weeks away. In the X (formerly Twitter) post, extas1s said that it was “100% confirmed” that the Crash Bandicoot trilogy will be coming to the subscription. Plus, he also said that he had mentioned this in one of his videos but did not make an individual post about it.

You can play Xbox Game Pass titles on Steam Deck

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is verified on Steam Deck, which means it’s fully playable on the handheld gaming PC. If the trilogy does arrive on Xbox Game Pass, Steam Deck owners can play the game on their handheld with the following method, courtesy of Microsoft.

Here’s how to play titles from Xbox Game Pass in Steam Deck:

  1. Install the Edge browser if you don’t have it on your Steam Deck already
  2. Add the browser to your App Launcher
  3. Go to desktop and select Application Launcher >
  4. Then, head over to System and then choose Konsole (terminal window)
  5. Give Edge override access with this command: flatpak –user override –filesystem=/run/udev:ro com.microsoft.Edge and hit ‘Enter’
  6. Open Steam from Desktop and then open the Library tab
  7. From the list that appears, select Edge
  8. Right-click Edge and then go to Properties
  9. Change the name of the Edge shortcut to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)
  10. Go to launch options and append the following (after @@u @@): –window-size=1024,640 –force-device-scale-factor=1.25 –device-scale-factor=1.25 –kiosk “https://www.xbox.com/play”
  11. Close the window and go over to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) in the Steam Library
  12. Right-click on the icon and choose Manage > Controller layout
  13. In the controller configurations, select BROWSE CONFIGS
  14. Under Templates, select Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad
  15. Apply the configuration and confirm it by selecting ‘Done’
  16. Customize the icon if you like

Alternatively, some Reddit users suggested using third-party apps like XBplay or Greenlight. A few users also pointed out that users can install Windows to play Steam Deck titles directly via PC Game Pass, rather than streaming on Xbox Game Pass.

Aside from the Crash Bandicoot trilogy, COD: Modern Warfare 3 has been expected on Game Pass for a while now. Last week, Blizzard started sending out 1-month trial codes for PC Game Pass to new users, leading to a lot of speculations about new games arriving on the subscription. However, it is not yet known whether the new game leaks are completely accurate.
