AMD fans are excited about Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs, with the 9800X3D confirmed to launch on November 7. As the hype builds for the X3D CPUs, we're also seeing significant discounts on the non-X3D chips. First, we have the Ryzen 9950X, which is the top model in the Ryzen 9000 lineup. We reviewed the 9950X and found it to be a solid CPU for multiple tasks, including gaming and productivity. We gave it 4 out of 5 points, but we did find it a bit expensive at that time. However, for only $599, it’s definitely worth getting.
Then, we have the Ryzen 9 9900X, which offers 12 cores, 24 threads, and a max boost clock of 4.4 GHz. This is a great choice for those who don’t want to overspend on the 9950X and still want something that could deliver great performance in CPU-intensive tasks.
As for the Ryzen 9 9700X and 9600X, these are great for budget-conscious builders or for those who aren’t involved in tasks that require a lot of processing power.
In any case, if you were planning to upgrade to the Ryzen 9000 series CPUs, now would be a great time to do so. This is the first time we've seen prices drop so low, so be sure to grab them before they return to their original values. It is, however, important to keep in that the 9800X3D will also hit the market on November 7, and it will be priced at $479. So, if you only want something for gaming, then it may be a better option. You will also be able to overclock the 9800X3D, something which you couldn’t do with the previous-gen X3D processors.
