The Strix X870E BIOS new features have been revealed in an update

Table of Contents
A Hardware Luxx forum user providing updates when a new AGESA firmware release has shown off what is coming to the new generation of motherboards. In particular, this is an update to the ASUS Strix X870E-E Gaming WiFi mobo and the new features available on it. Although these have not come out yet sources suggest the X870 motherboards won’t be released alongside the Ryzen 9000 series CPUs but a few months after (according to Videocardz sources), and the CPUs will have to rely on the 600 series mobos.
These will still be running the AM5 socket as AMD iterates its platform and promises longevity like on AM4. But these new motherboards might be coming a few months down the road. But if they follow the likes of this ASUS Strix update, they might be adding Curve Optimizer, CO stabilizer, switch, and increasing operating fan curves.

ASUS Strix X870E gaming WiFi BIOS
First is the addition of a special Curve optimizer feature to the X870E board, which even with the updates the X670 boards will be missing as they add support for the Zen 5 processors. That allows you to tune the specific cores or entire CPU so it overrides the fixed curves there so as to overclock the processor and gain a better performance.
There is also the inclusion of a Heavy Load Dynamic CO Stabilizer which enables the switch over to PBO Mode from OC mode during periods of heavy loading. Along with All Core Safe CO Svalue to Switch which sets an appropriate fallback curve optimizer value for periods of very heavy loading. both of which should give you better control of CPU behavior under heavy loads and dialing things back instead of crashing.
Lastly, there is the feature of supporting up to 8 fan points adjustments, doubling it up from previously. Those were Strix specific, whilst we expect in general a better DDR5 memory OC and curve shaper coming to the 800 series over the 6000 series.
