Thermaltake has announced that a wide range of its CPU coolers are compatible with Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake processors. This means that many PC builders who are upgrading from Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, or Raptor Lake Refresh (to Arrow Lake) can reuse their existing Thermaltake cooling solutions.

The confirmed compatible coolers include 17 air coolers, 49 all-in-one (AIO) liquid coolers, and five water blocks. This extensive list offers PC builders a variety of options to suit their needs and budgets. So, it looks like fans will have plenty of options to keep their 15th-gen processor nice and cool.

Reassured PC builders

While the compatibility of LGA1700 coolers with Arrow Lake CPUs has been widely anticipated, Thermaltake’s official confirmation provides reassurance to PC builders who were unsure. This is especially significant as Intel’s Arrow Lake chips are expected to be more powerful than their predecessors, potentially leading to increased heat output.

Thermaltake is not the only cooling brand to announce compatibility with Arrow Lake. Noctua, Azza, and Arctic have also confirmed that their respective products are compatible with Intel’s upcoming CPUs. This widespread compatibility is a testament to the standardized design of the LGA1851 socket, which allows for easy integration of existing cooling solutions.

While the savings on cooling may seem insignificant compared to the overall cost of a PC build, every dollar saved can add up. This is especially true for air coolers, which are generally more affordable than AIO liquid coolers. However, given the potential for higher heat output from Arrow Lake chips, investing in a high-quality cooler might be more important than ever.
