This Chinese retailer might have leaked the prices of AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs on a live stream

Ever since the announcement of the AMD 9000 series processors, the company has revealed more details about the upcoming CPUs. So far, we know about the CPU’s technical specifications and even release dates. However, AMD has refrained from revealing anything about the prices of the new processors.

Before the release was delayed, retailers in some regions had listed the CPUs and revealed the prices. For instance, on Amazon Netherlands, the price of the Ryzen 9 9900X was listed as $549.

And now, IT80, a Chinese hardware store, has put up the prices of the upcoming Ryzen processors on display, and they seem to be cheaper than the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs.

Prices of the Ryzen 9000 series CPUs seem lower than the 7000 series

In the live stream, the shopkeeper in the IT80 store displayed the expected prices of the much-awaited Ryzen 9000 series processors. Wccftech was able to take a screenshot of the board with prices.

As per the video, here are the prices of the Zen 5 CPUs in RMB and USD:

Interestingly, these prices are much lower than the previous generation’s costs. For instance, the Ryzen 9 7950X is currently priced at $522.49 on Amazon (the MSRP is $699), which is almost a $200 difference.

Last week, we saw some new price leaks from a European retailer, which suggested that the new AMD lineup had competitive prices. As per the leak, the Ryzen 9 9900X had a price tag of €484.14, which includes VAT charges. This price is close to what the Chinese retailer seems to suggest.

It should be noted that the prices of the AMD CPUs in the live stream seem to be the ones that have been recalled by AMD due to quality issues. So, the prices shown in the video might change.

In any case, the final prices of the upcoming Ryzen 9000 lineup will be revealed around the new release date. In case you missed it, Ryzen 9 9950X and 9900X will be launched on August 15th, and Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 6 9600X will be available for purchase on August 8th.
