Valve’s cheaper Steam Decks are finally back in stock, but don’t expect them to last long
Table of Contents
Valve's Steam Deck is one of the most popular portable gaming devices on the market. If you want to take your PC gaming on the go, you have a chance to grab a bargain – but only if you move fast.
The Steam Deck is a superb machine for portable PC gaming. Despite its compact form factor, it is capable of playing a vast library of games, including plenty of AAA titles. If you want one of these devices, it will usually take a decently large bite out of your bank balance. Unless, of course, you go a cheaper route.
Refurbished Steam Decks are occasionally made available by Valve. These are devices that have been returned or sent for repair, but Valve opted to send out a new unit to the customer instead. They have all gone through an official refurbishment process to make them suitable for sale.

UK customers can grab a bargain
Right now, customers in the UK can pick up one of three models of Steam Deck for a bargain price. The Steam Deck OLED 512GB, priced at £389, the Steam Deck OLED 1TB at £459, or the basic Steam Deck LCD 64GB at £249.
These are considerable reductions compared to the usual MSRP. The Steam Deck OLED 512GB is usually priced at £479, the 1TB OLED at £569, and the 64GB LCD is rarely available. The nearest equivalent, the LCD 256GB, has an MSRP of £349.
Some users on Reddit are also reporting restocks in other areas, such as France. These bargain prices are not likely to be available for long, as numbers are limited by the amount of stock. As such, if you are in Europe and want to grab a Steam Deck, this may be your best opportunity.
Restocks of these refurbished units are relatively rare, with some Steam Deck fans reporting it has been roughly five months since the last batch was made available. It might be worth checking if they are on sale in your region.
