The RX 9070 and 9070, first teased during CES 2025, were finally launched today. Both cards offer 16GB of VRAM and are mid-range options. Demand for both cards was extremely high, which is why they are quickly selling out at popular retailers, with only a few units of some models remaining at the time of writing. And despite some still being in stock, scalpers have already started listing them at absurd prices.

RX 9070 and 9070 XT listed at absurd prices on eBay

The RX 9070 has an MSRP of $549, while the XT variant is priced at $599. However, some models cost more. For example, the most expensive RX 9070 XT model, the XFX Mercury AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Magnetic Air Edition 16GB, is priced at $849.99. This is more than the 7900 XT, which, despite offering better specifications and being a more powerful card, is listed for $829.99 on Amazon. However, these are the official prices, and now that the cards are almost sold out at major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg, scalpers have started listing them at absurd prices.

If you head over to eBay, you’ll see that both the RX 9070 and 9070 XT are listed well above their MSRPs, with most selling for over $1,000. Some 9070 XT models are even listed for $1,499, such as the PowerColor Hellhound Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB, which is being sold on Amazon for $759.99. Similarly, the ASRock and ASUS PRIME variants are listed for $1,400 and $1,499, respectively. Meanwhile, the XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070, which is supposed to cost $599, is being sold for $1,070.

Scalpers always take advantage of low stock situations. We saw it happen with the recent RTX 50-series launch as well, with the flagship RTX 5090 being sold for over $6,000 on eBay, which is well above its MSRP of $1,999. In any case, official stock will likely sell out quickly, and once that happens, all you can do is wait, as there's no word on when the next batch will arrive.

Getting the cards from eBay makes no sense, as there are much better options available for a lower price, such as the 7900 XT. Make sure to also bookmark our RX 9070 XT and 9070 stock tracker page, where we’ll constantly keep you updated about the latest stock situation.
