X3D made up nearly half of AMD’s CPU revenue last month, Amazon sales report shows

AMD’s Ryzen chips are without doubt one of the most popular choices among PC gaming fans, especially their X3D lineup, which continues to top nearly every best gaming CPU list. And the launch of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D further cemented why X3D is the king of gaming CPUs, with Intel's Core Ultra 200 series processors struggling to match the same level of gaming performance. But that isn’t the only area where X3D is dominating.
According to a report from tech analyst and blogger TechEpiphany on X, AMD's X3D chips accounted for 29.5% of its total CPU sales and a massive 45.6% of its revenue. That means nearly half of AMD's CPU revenue came from X3D alone, which, if you ask us, isn't surprising at all, especially considering how “blown away” even AMD themselves were by X3D processor demand.

Blue Team’s Arrow Lake CPUs take another hit
These figures come from Amazon’s CPU Retail Sales Report for the month of April 2025, and while the Red Team’s X3D offerings are dominating the charts, Intel’s Arrow Lake series is seeing the complete opposite, with their CPUs accounting for less than 2% of total sales. So it’s clear that the Blue Team hasn’t had any groundbreaking innovations lately, which explains why its new CEO is planning a major shakeup.
That said, as we’ve mentioned before, if Intel wants to regain the spot it once held in the hearts of gamers, it needs to challenge X3D, which has repeatedly proven to be exactly what gamers and enthusiasts want. Apart from that, AMD’s financial results for the first quarter of 2025 also showed some big wins for the company with a strong demand for its Zen 5 processors.
