Although the Xiaomi 18 Pro Fold will remain a China-exclusive model, Xiaomi will be releasing its new 18 Pro and Pro Max models globally. As you may have noticed, they follow the same naming convention as the new iPhones. Xiaomi’s two new Pro Series models were released today (September 23) in China, while reports confirm a global launch later this year – no exact dates just yet.

As part of the launch, Xiaomi has also released a special edition ‘Red Relief’ model, featuring a transparent red case to show off internal components. The special red model starts at 9999 yuan (~$1,490 USD) for the Pro and 10,999 yuan (~$1,639 USD) for the Pro Max, both with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. Standard colors are cheaper, and do note that global pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max launched in China

While they’re available today in China, we don’t know exactly when they’ll be available globally, nor exactly which regions will be able to purchase them. In the meantime, we can take a look at the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series’ specs. Aside from the new transparent red model, the new smartphone is also available in Black, White, Starry Blue, and Ice Peach Pink colorways.

Xiaomi is offering a range of configurations with these ‘standard’ color models, and they’re cheaper than the special edition red model. The pricing is as follows:

• 12GB+256GB: 5,999 yuan
• 12GB+512GB: 6,999 yuan
• 16GB+512GB: 7,999 yuan
• 16GB+1TB: 8,999 yuan

Pro Max pricing

• 12GB+256GB: 6,999 yuan
• 12GB+512GB: 7,999 yuan
• 16GB+512GB: 8,999 yuan
• 16GB+1TB: 9,999 yuan
