If you’re looking for the best graphics card available, value for money is a huge thing to consider. GPU deals don’t always look as flashy as some other tech, but this fresh price drop on the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT is a notable change. It originally released for $449, which was hard to justify against its close competition. Now you can find it going for as low as $379.99.
This price allows it to distance itself from the higher-spec RX 7800 XT which has been one of our favorite AMD GPUs this generation. Furthermore, reports that RTX 40 series GPUs could go up in price makes this deal even more tempting.
RX 7700 XT hits yet another new low price
Right now, you can find the RX 7700 XT for as low as $379.99 on Newegg. This is for the ASRock Challenger model, but there are some similarly-priced alternatives if you prefer. It’s a strong alternative to the likes of Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4060 Ti if you aren’t too bothered about features such as ray tracing or DLSS.
- ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 7700 XT – $379.99 on Newegg
- SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7700 XT – $389.99 on Newegg (w/ promo code PCGDR29366)
- Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT – $399.99 on Amazon
This isn’t the first time the RX 7700 XT has dropped in price, previously being reduced to $399 – a price we thought made it a viable option compared to the RX 7800 XT, which has overshadowed it since launch. Now with an extra $20 knocked off the asking price, it’s becoming an even better value option for 1440p gaming. In our RX 7700 XT review, we note that the comparable price to the higher-spec model was a downside, just $50 between them at launch, but this is no longer the case.
Should you get the RX 7700 XT at this price?

We think that the RX 7700 XT is an excellent choice at this price and it should now stretch to many people’s budgets in the mid-range. It’s now safely $100 cheaper than the RX 7800 XT – one example we spotted was the ASRock Challenge RX 7800 XT for $479.99 on Newegg. And as we said earlier, the RTX 40 series may actually see prices go up, so AMD offers a cheap alternative.
If you’re targeting 1440p or even 1080p, then this is an excellent choice with 12GB VRAM and great performance at both resolutions. A couple of our in-house benchmarks just below demonstrate how it performs, from an optimized esport title (Overwatch 2) to a demanding triple-A game (Cyberpunk 2077).
