The first Ryzen 7 ‘Zen 4’ CPU from AMD’s upcoming 7000 series lineup has been spotted in a big leak for socket AM5 followers.

As reported by Videocardz, the Ryzen 7 7700X CPU was spotted on Anandtech’s forums, and it looks pretty smart indeed.

The leaked image shows the CPU top-down, and it cuts an interesting figure. More importantly, its laser etching and a SKU of 000000593 can be easily seen.

The SKU is important, as it has peviously been rumored to be the 7000X. It has also been appearing in benchmark and performance leaks that are to be taken with a grain of salt.

Ryzen 7 7700X expected Specs

But now that the SKU has seemingly been confirmed, it’s apparent that the 7700X is an eight-core and 16-thread CPU.

Circulating specs suggest it can boost frequency up to 5.4GHz from a base of 4.5GHz. And it seems to feature a TDP of 105W – as compared to the upcoming Ryzen 9 CPUs, believed to have a 170W TDP.

The total cache of the 7700X is believed to be 40MB. That’s up from 32MB on the punchy Ryzen 7 5800X from the Zen 3 generation.

Additionally, with Zen 4 CPUs are believed to have a 1MB L2 cache per core (up from 512KB in Zen 3), the 7700X would have a total 8MB L2 cache.

While this appears very much the finished article of the Ryzen 7 7700X we’re seeing. The image alone doesn’t provide confirmed specs or any pricing.

Ryzen 7 7700X price rumors

What we know is that the 7700X has a rumored price of around $300 USD, with recent leak of pricing on Canadian site PC-Canada (per Tweaktown) putting the CPU at $423.99 CAD.

One of four parts we expect to be announced on August 29, the full lineup we expect is :

  • Ryzen 9 7950X
