Following the Made by Google 2023 event, all eyes are turning to the release of the Google Pixel 8. Once again, Google is looking to dominate the Android market with its new smartphone that’s packed with hardware and software upgrades. It’s no surprise that a lot of people will be asking if you can pre-order the Google Pixel 8. If you want to pre-order the next device in the Google Pixel lineup, we’ve got all you need to know right here.
Can you pre-order the Google Pixel 8? In short, yes
Yes, the Google Pixel 8 is now available to pre-order through the Google webstore following its official launch at the Made by Google event on the 4th of October. Google previously did confirm in this teaser video that pre-orders will go live following its annual event, and there has now been an official on-sale date given for the latest Pixel smartphone of the 12th of October, 2023.
As expected, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices will be launching on the Google Store and will be available to pre-order online from the 4th of October, with an in-store release date of the 12th of October. Furthermore, it’s now confirmed that customers in the US will be able to get their hands on a pre-order bundle, as suggested by a previous leak by @Za_Raczke on X, formerly Twitter. At the time of writing, when you pre-order a Pixel 8 Pro, Google will add in a Pixel Watch 2 (Wi-Fi) or the Pixel Buds Pro at no extra cost.
How much will the Google Pixel 8 cost?
Google has been pretty consistent with the pricing of its phones, but the advanced software and hardware on the Pixel 8’s mean that we’re looking at a bit of a price leap for the new Pixel models. The Google Pixel 8 has an MSRP of $699 for the 128GB model, and $759 for the 256GB variant. This makes it $100 more expensive than the Pixel 7 which was priced at $599. For the Pixel 8 Pro, the price mark starts at $999 (128GB), to $1,059 (256GB), and finally $1,179 (512GB) for the Pro model with the most storage.
