Cyberpunk 2077 New Zealand trick – will it work?
The New Zealand trick is a method used by gamers that involves changing the region of your console so that you can get earlier access to games – but will it work for getting into the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC early?

Given that the console release of Phantom Liberty is at 12 am on the 26th of September, it will be launched whenever the clock strikes 12 in your region. Therefore, it might be possible to do the New Zealand trick by changing your time zone to NZDT in order to unlock the expansion as soon as possible. However, given that it’s a DLC instead of a full game release, it can’t be completely confirmed that this cheeky trick will actually work.
Unfortunately, the expansion is getting a simultaneous worldwide release for PC, so it won't work there. On the plus side, you can use the extra time to consider getting a hardware upgrade with the best CPU and best GPU for Cyberpunk 2077.
It’s worth noting that performing the hack on PS5 involves setting up a new PlayStation account under a New Zealand region and purchasing both the game and the DLC through the NZ PlayStation store. It’s a lengthy process, but if you’re committed it might end up working in your favor.
