Following the AMD Where Gaming Begins event, we can expect the brand new AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics cards to be released very soon, and we are going to have all of the latest news on when and where you can buy the latest GPU right here on PC Guide!
The launch comes at a really exciting time of year, with three entries into the Radeon family already on the market and the latest Zen 3 processors probably sitting pretty in your new PC build, ready for whichever GPU you slot into it.
Find out how much the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is, where to buy the new AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, and much more below!
So, what can we expect from the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT? Well, coming in as a budget-friendly option for gamers, it focuses more on the 1440p player rather than those who want the absolute highest in-game fidelity.
In terms of raw specs, this is what the 6700 XT offers:
- 40 Compute Units
- 2424MHz Game Clock
- 96MB Infinity Cache
- 12GB GDDR6 RAM
- 230W Board Power
As you can see, it’s no slouch even if it does come in at a lower cost. This means it could be a real contender when gaming PC builders are wanting a more budget system that still details solid performance.
It, of course, includes that Smart Access Memory that AMD has enabled with these 6000 series GPUs which only amplifies performance when paired with a 5000, and now 3000 series CPU.
As previously stated, the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT focuses on 1440p resolutions so you’re not going to see any crazy performance when in 4K but as shown in AMD’s presentation, you can expect to see 82 FPS when playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on max settings at 1440p and even almost reaching 100 FPS when getting into Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War at the same settings levels.
Compared to the solid Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti, it blows it out the water, posting up prospective 1440p FPS levels that are pretty impressive. Moreover, it still supposedly comfortably beats out the newer RTX 2080 Super which some of you might still be using right now and bodes well for the future of this more budget GPU.
The release date for the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is March 18th. This date will not only be for the AMD variant of the new GPU but also third-party options from manufacturers like ASUS and Gigabyte so you could be in with a better shot of picking one up!
For the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT price, we can expect that to be around $479 for the base AMD model. This will obviously differ dramatically when you throw third-parties into the mix as well as different retailers. All we can hope is that prices won’t be inflated too much due to demand.
As soon as we find the locations to buy the brand new AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics cards, we will be listing them right here – no matter where you are in the world, we are going to make sure you have the dedicated option to buy an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU come launch day with by the moment updated links of all the latest retailer locations.
