Android And iOS

Android and iOS devices are luckily very similar when it comes to the layout of Instagram, and where you can find certain settings – including for the password.

Step

1

Go To Your Profile

When you load up Instagram you will be met with your personal timeline and any new photos that have been posted that are ready to scroll through.

You will want to click your profile which is in the bottom right corner with your profile picture displayed.

Step

2

Open Options Menu

Next, once you are on your profile you will see three horizontal lines in the top right corner just next to the story icon.

This is the options menu and gives you access to things like saved pictures, videos and a QR code scanner. Press this and then click the ‘Settings’ option which is right at the top of the options menu.

Step

3

Access Security

A few more options will be presented to you that you can toggle. Click on ‘Security’, which is the fourth option down and has a shield symbol next to it.

Step

4

Enter New Password

Next a few more final options will pop up, including ‘Password’ at the very top.

When you press this you will be asked to type your current and new password, along with a link right after if you have forgotten your current password. If so,  Instagram will direct you through how to create a new current password if needed.
