Now that the finalized version has been revealed, we can see that the prototype was already pretty close to the final product. Promotional materials for IFA Berlin 2025 were leaked by Evan Blass, just ahead of the event.
Here are the confirmed Legion Go 2 specifications, along with the specifications of its predecessor for comparison:
| Specification | Lenovo Legion Go 2 | Lenovo Legion Go |

As shown above, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 will feature an 8.8″ display with a 1200p resolution. While this is a lower resolution than the original, it’s still higher than rivals like the ROG Ally and Steam Deck. The new handheld also gets an OLED panel instead of IPS, which should provide better visuals with deeper blacks and more vibrant colors. Aside from that, the aspect ratio and refresh rate remain the same.
The Legion Go 2 will be available in two different main models, mainly separated by the processor (Ryzen Z2 and Ryzen Z2 Extreme). AMD's Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor has a maximum boost frequency of 5GHz, and comes with 8 cores, 16 threads, and 16 graphics cores. The new Z2 processors also promise better power efficiency and aim to fix battery life issues in handhelds. And with a larger 74Whr battery compared to the 49.2Whr battery in the original Legion Go, users can expect significantly longer playtime.
Aside from that, Lenovo has also made some improvements to the design. For starters, the Legion Go 2 will have a next-gen excimer coating, which is easy to clean and also fingerprint-resistant, so it won’t get dirty easily. Aside from that, the layout of the back buttons has improved, making it more comfortable to hold. There’s also a fingerprint reader on the top of the device for quicker and more secure access.
Lenovo Legion Go 2 price
The official price was one of the last things we got to learn about the Legion Go 2. It arrives as one of the most expensive handhelds on the market.
| Model | Price |
|---|---|
| Ryzen Z2 / 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD | $1,099.99 |
| Ryzen Z2 / 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD | $1,199.99 |
| Ryzen Z2 Extreme / 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD | $1,349.99 |
| Ryzen Z2 Extreme / 32GB RAM / 2TB SSD | $1,479.99 |
In comparison, the original Legion Go launched at $599 for the 256GB model with the Ryzen Z1, while the version with the Z1 Extreme and 512GB storage was priced at $699. A 1TB model with the Z1 Extreme was also available for $749.99. So, there has been a significant price hike compared to the first-gen model.
Prices may have been affected by ongoing trade tensions and tariffs, which have already affected pricing for devices like the ROG Ally. The Legion Go 2 is also expected to be up to $200 more expensive than the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X, for which ASUS and Microsoft have yet to decide on a price; maybe the Legion Go 2’s reveal will influence the final price.
