The ZOTAC MEK gaming PC is perfect for budget users who want a machine that delivers solid punching power without burning a hole in their pocket. It features the latest generation components, such as the Ryzen 5 9600X and the RTX 5060, the latter of which can punch above its weight class with the help of DLSS 4 and MFG. What this means is a smooth gaming experience at 1080p, 1440p, and 1600p. Depending on how heavy the title is, it can even push 4K.

It isn’t a very heavy-hitting gaming PC, but it is a great option to start from, as with the AM5 motherboard, you can upgrade to a powerful processor and GPU without any issues. The original cost of this machine was $1,199.99, but with this Amazon offer, you can grab it for only $1,129.99. This is a decent chunk saved, but keep in mind that there is only 1 unit left in stock. So, you’d better hurry if you want to get your hands on it.

What we liked about this gaming PC

Ryzen 5 9600X doesn’t compromise performance for its efficiency

This is a 6-core and 12-thread processor, which is in line with the Ryzen 5 series, but the Zen 5 architecture is what gives it its massive fighting spirit. This processor is capable of being paired with some of the best GPUs on the market without causing a bottleneck. When we reviewed the Ryzen 5 9600X, it showcased solid output, but it was limited to 65W, which isn’t an issue now since you can bump it up to 105W.

It showcased solid generation uplift over its predecessor in gaming and non-gaming workflows, meaning it has great value. Creative workflows, AI, and multitasking are all part of the equation with this CPU, and to give you an idea, here are its benchmarks:

The RTX 5060 has a lot of backing

This entry-level graphics card might not get the love it deserves, but for anyone on a budget, it is a lifesaver. It has 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM with cores based on the Blackwell architecture, giving it solid performance at 1080p and 1440p gaming. Workflows like Photoshop, video editing, and rendering are also possible, but within a limit. Pushing any budget component beyond its capabilities will result in performance degradation, but when it comes to gaming, you can push through hurdles with the help of DLSS 4 and MFG. So, even in the face of graphically demanding titles, this GPU doesn’t back down.

Solid components overall for the price point

WiFi 6E, a 650W power supply unit, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and 1TB SSD are all great components considering its price tag. Online gaming, streaming, and even attending meetings should be stable, as it can work with the 6GHz band, and the overall efficiency with the 16GB RAM should be great. It won’t have an impact on the gaming performance, but very heavy multitasking might be a challenge for it.
