This is just about the most affordable RTX 5060 gaming PC I’ve come across, so if you’re on the hunt for something budget-friendly, then you’ll want to check this out. This Skytech Edge gaming PC is currently $120 off on Amazon for a limited time, and has been reduced from $1,049.99 to $929.99. That’s a great price for something with an RTX 5060. On top of this, you’ve got 16GB of DDR4, a Ryzen 5 5500 processor, and 1TB of storage, which may not be as punchy as some of the more expensive 5060 models, but is still great for high refresh rate 1080p gaming, with decent workstation capabilities, too.

Key features of this Skytech Gaming Edge PC

RTX 5060 graphics card

The RTX 5060 is one of the best graphics cards you can go for if you’re looking to keep overall prebuild costs around the $1000 mark. It’s a significant generational leap from the RTX 4060, as this card features more CUDA cores and next-gen technology, like 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and GDDR7 VRAM. While the 5060 ‘only’ has 8GB, its GDDR7 memory nearly doubles the speed and bandwidth of GDDR6, which dramatically improves performance in-game. The RTX 5060 is primarily a very strong choice for 1080p gaming at maxed-out settings, and it can also be used for 1440p at high settings in most cases.

Ryzen 5 5500 processor

This PC has a very budget-friendly Zen 3 processor in the form of the Ryzen 5 5500, which basically has everything you need for gaming, multitasking, and productivity, but without driving the overall price of this build above $1000. It features 6 cores and 12 threads, which is on the smaller side compared to other Ryzen alternatives, but still more than enough for gaming, and also good for entry-level workstations. It features a 4.2GHz boost clock speed and 16MB L3 cache, which makes it a solid choice for 1080p and 1440p gaming, and maintaining high frame rates and improving 1% lows.

RAM and storage

You’ve got a 1TB SSD here, which is more than enough storage for most people, and helps keep the overall price of this build lower. On top of this, you’ve got 16GB of DDR4 RAM, which is a good option for 1080p gaming and daily multitasking, without having to pay a premium for DDR5.

Things to consider

This is about as affordable as it gets for an RTX 5060 build, and that’s mainly down to the RAM, CPU, and storage being on the entry-level side. Personally, I think the sweet spot for an RTX 5060 build is closer to $1,100 in most cases, as these tend to have DDR5, which is going to be more adept at handling demanding games, multitasking, and creative applications, and higher core count CPUs with larger L3 caches, which can come in especially handy with CPU-bound competitive games, like Valorant and CS2, open-world titles and simulators. I would, however, still stick with Skytech if you’re looking for great bang for your buck. Its ‘Rampage’ gaming PCs are particularly good in this regard, as are its Azure 3 series.
