Black Friday RAM deals are already popping up at major retailers and this year there are some absolutely excellent offers going on everything from DDR4, DDR5 and laptop RAM too.
RAM is a vital part of any PC, whether for gaming or work. The latest standard is DDR5, which has more bandwidth and higher clock speeds than DDR4, making it ideal for intense gaming or productive sessions. However, these memory sticks cost a lot, especially if you go for those with fast clock speeds and more memory.
So, Black Friday presents an excellent opportunity to boost your system’s performance and efficiency by upgrading the RAM. Doing so can also boost in-game performance and avoid system memory issues. This year, we’re already seeing regular players such as G.Skill, Corsair, Kingston, TEAMGROUP, and others offer decent discounts.
From my research, it looks like the best RAM deals are on Amazon right now, as I’m spotting a lot of close to 50% off discounts in comparison to Best Buy which seemingly has less selection and lower discounts. We’ve updated our deal selection to include the best offers, but I’d say if you’re looking for DDR5 at a massively reduced price, this Crucial Pro RAM 96GB Kit is 46% off right now.

Black Friday RAM deals – early offers so far
The previous winter sales events can give us a decent taste of what to expect this November. As you can see below, we saw some excellent prices on DDR4 kits, such as the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro and Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan Z lines. We’re more optimistic this year that DDR5 kits will have their sticker prices slashed as they are approaching a year of availability. DDR5 RAM is the best of the best, granted you have the right motherboard for the job. It is roughly twice as fast as DDR4, and well worth it if you’re going all in on your gaming rig. Finding the best Black Friday RAM deals depends on which retailers you’re looking at. Generally speaking, there are three main retailers to keep in your crosshairs if you’re based in the United States. These are Amazon, Newegg, and Best Buy which have, historically, hosted the best discounts.
Black Friday will be on 29 November this year. However, you’ll be able to grab an excellent RAM deal before you can even say ‘Thanksgiving’. As consistent with the past few years, more and more retailers are serving up early Black Friday deals. You’ll see fantastic RAM deals in the weeks leading up to Black Friday as well as the weeks after. For instance, Cyber Monday provides an excellent opportunity to upgrade your RAM at a discounted price.
How to get the best Black Friday RAM deals in 2024
The ideal way to get a value-packed Black Friday RAM deal is to shop around; looking in a single place can result in you losing out on some really great finds. We’ll be bringing you all the latest offers right here as they come in. But before then, we recommend getting up to date with the pricing histories of any RAM kits that you’re interested in.
Fortunately, that’s not too hard to do. You can use the browser extension CamelCamelCamel for a thorough pricing history of many different RAM models available in your country. For other websites, such as Newegg and Best Buy, Honey is the next best alternative. You will be able to view the fluctuating prices up to 120 days back. Brushing up on the current market value will give you an accurate and honest pricing history of RAM models you’re considering on the day. This stops any impulse buys where rates have been artificially inflated and lowered ahead of the winter sales events.

Will DDR5 RAM be cheaper this Black Friday?
In the lead-up to Black Friday, we’re already seeing the prices of a variety of mid-range and high-end DDR5 RAM kits selling at some of their lowest-ever rates. Discounts range from up to 50% off for some of the newest models, such as those made by Corsair and Kingston. It’s hard to say what price they will fall to exactly, but we are expecting to see DDR5 RAM at heavily discounted rates.
