Brilliant ASUS ROG dual-mode 4K/FHD gaming monitor sighted at its lowest price on Amazon — a quality pick for under $400
Table of Contents
If you’re after a gaming monitor that’s for both 4K gaming and extremely high FPS FHD gaming rolled into one, then you’ll want to check out this discounted ASUS ROG model. It’s currently down to its best price ever on Amazon, with 14% off its list price, coming in at $369.00. That is genuinely a very good price for a monitor like this, as it doesn’t skimp when it comes to picture quality or gaming performance.
Let’s look at gaming performance first. It’s 4K/162Hz and FHD/485Hz. The latter is akin to a professional esports monitor, and with a 0.3ms response time and ELMB Sync, you can expect serious motion clarity, enabling you to track opponents much more easily.
ASUS ROG XG27UCGR-W 27 Inch 4K 162Hz White USB-C G-SYNC Gaming Monitor
Now for picture quality, this monitor is a fast IPS LED model, which means you’re getting wider viewing angles, but not quite as good contrast as a VA alternative. That being said, color is impressive at 95% DCI-P3, and it also covers 130% of the sRGB color gamut. Not only does this make games and content look more vibrant and true-to-life, but it also allows this monitor to be used for video editing and other creative work. In fact, this monitor also comes with a free 3-month Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, which is great if you’re starting to explore streaming and content creation.

What we like about this ASUS ROG 27-inch dual mode monitor
Outstanding versatlity for the price
You’re getting essentially three monitors in one here. One for slower, cinematic 4K gaming, one for high fps esports and competitive play, and one for productivity and creative work. For under $400, that’s an absolute steal.
ELMB Sync is a game-changer for motion clarity
This combines ASUS’s backlight strobing with VRR, which dramatically reduces motion blur. For high-refresh-rate gaming, this is going to be excellent.
An excellent pick for white-themed setups
Having a white monitor can make all the difference if you’re looking for congruency in your white-themed setup. It also goes without saying that ASUS ROG products like this one are great if you’re going for something with more of futuristic, cyberpunk feel, too.
