What we liked about this 4K TV
65″ 4K Hi-QLED Mini LED panel
The Hisense U6 Pro features a 65″ 4K screen with advanced Quantum Dot color and new Hi-QLED Mini-LED backlighting, making it an ideal TV for watching movies, playing games, and following sports. Its HDR performance is aided by thousands of small LED backlights and hundreds of local dimming zones, which can dim or brighten areas of the screen to create realistic-looking HDR movies and games with better contrast. Quantum Dot color technology enables the display to produce a more complete set of vivid colors, including the deep reds and blues that make images look more lifelike. The TV also automatically adjusts to deliver the best quality image based on what you’re watching and the amount of ambient light in the room with Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive.

Native 144Hz refresh rate with Motion Rate 480
With a native 144Hz refresh rate, the U6 Pro is an attractive choice for gamers and sports enthusiasts, who may prefer their motion to be smoother. This makes rapid motion clearer to see and smooths scrolling of camera movement. It has a decent set of motion enhancement specifications, Motion Rate 480, but this is not the panel’s native refresh rate, so the TV should not be confused for a 480Hz TV. Features like VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and Auto Low Latency Mode should help to give compatible gaming systems, consoles, and PCs, reduced tearing, and lower latency to ensure responsive gaming.
Great sound with Dolby Atmos and a built-in subwoofer
The U6 Pro has a 2.1-channel sound system with a built-in subwoofer, which can provide up to 40W. This aims to complement the traditional TV speakers with a bespoke built-in subwoofer, offering a lot more headroom for explosions, sports, and music, compared to what a simple TV speaker can usually provide. Dolby Atmos support is also on hand to provide a more immersive presentation for compatible shows and movies, with a lot more airiness to the audio. This is an all-in-one setup and means you may not need to look for a soundbar, but you’ll still get a more convincing, speaker-differentiated surround-sound experience with a dedicated system.
Plenty of AI-powered features
Hisense’s Hi-View AI Engine Pro also helps to automatically optimize the picture for each scene by reading what’s playing and adjusting the brightness, contrast, color, and clarity. AI 4K Upscaler is great when you’re watching classic movies or shows from the past; it upscales lower-resolution streaming content to more closely resemble 4K on a giant screen. AI Smooth Motion minimises that annoying screen tearing and blurring when there’s high-speed action, while the AI HDR Upscaler improves the appearance of non-HDR content that’s compatible.
