Table of Contents
If you’re looking for a PC that’s going to be great for more than just gaming and doesn’t skimp on cooling, then this Stormcraft Falcon build is well worth checking out right now. It’s currently $200 off at Newegg, down to $1,799.99, and, personally, I think it brings a lot to the table for the price. What you’ve got here is an RTX 5070 build with a high core-count CPU in the form of the Intel i7-14700F, and 32GB of DDR4. What’s great about this build is that there’s also a beefy 360mm AIO, which provides plenty of thermal headroom for the i7-14700F when it’s being used for CPU-intensive tasks, like many creative workflows and heavy multitasking.
What’s clever about this PC is that it opts for some ‘last-gen ‘ components, which does slightly limit your upgrade pathway, but both its CPU and RAM are still excellent, especially from a price-to-performance perspective. Overall, I’d say at its current price, I’m expecting this to be a pretty popular deal, especially for those who don’t fancy paying a premium for DDR5 or an Intel Core Ultra processor, and want a strong all-rounder for more than just gaming.

Excellent all-rounder CPU
You’re getting 20 cores, 28 threads, a 5.4GHz boost clock speed, and 33MB L3 cache here, which provides a strong, balanced offering for gaming and multitasking. While there are other CPUs with larger L3 caches that will be better suited to FHD gaming at very high frame rates, for primarily QHD gaming, the i7-14700F is still very adept.
Very robust cooling for CPU-intensive workloads
For a high core-count processor, which is going to be used for extensive creative work that will push it to its limits for extended periods of time, it pays to have a 360mm AIO cooler like the one in this build. It’s going to provide a lot of thermal headroom, especially for gaming, and ensure that less strain is put on fan speeds, too, for an overall quieter experience.
Keyboard and mouse included
All you need is a monitor to get started with this build, which is great if you want something practically ready to go right out of the box.
Loads of RAM without paying DDR5 prices
DDR5 is great, but with prices as they are nowadays, it’s becoming a harder sell, in all honesty. 32GB of DDR4 is going to give you everything you need to handle asset-heavy titles and is very much in line with modern gaming requirements. It’s also going to help keep everything running smoothly in creative apps, especially when working on more complex, larger projects.
