Excellent 9700X, RTX 5070 mid-range gaming PC sees solid price cut in this Amazon deal
Table of Contents
We spotted an amazing mid-range gaming PC on sale on Amazon, and it is the Build Redux gaming PC. This prebuilt machine boasts the Ryzen 7 9700X and the RTX 5070, meaning the 1440p gaming performance should be smooth, but the productivity should also be exceptional. The original price was $2,199.99, but after this, an 11% price cut, you can grab it for $1,959.99.
This gaming PC also features a 240mm AIO cooler, and the hardware inside should provide a streamlined gaming and working experience. So, for the price, we think this is a tempting offer and definitely worth serious consideration, but keep in mind that it only has 16GB RAM.
- The 9700X has solid value and performance
- The RTX 5070 can handle 4K gaming in some titles
- Overall great value
- If you’re looking for a more powerful machine
- It only has 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD
What made this gaming PC stand out
The reason this gaming PC stood out to us is that the main components, the Ryzen 7 9700X and the RTX 5070, have been reviewed by us in-house. So, we are aware of what this gaming PC should be capable of, but there are always some differences. For example, the 16GB DDR5 RAM should be more than enough for gaming, but for resource-heavy workflows, 32GB would’ve been better.

The same can be said for the 1TB SSD, as with the operating system, there won’t be a lot of space for games and applications, so our recommendation would be to upgrade it as soon as possible. Besides that, the build is solid, and since the 9700X can be easily overclocked, the 240mm AIO CPU cooler should come in handy. This gaming PC should churn out 80 FPS at 4K in Battlefield 6, according to Build Redux.
As for how the processor and graphics card should perform, here is how they performed:
Ryzen 7 9700X
- It managed 325 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p low settings paired with the RTX 4070 Ti Super
- Days Gone ran at 240 FPS
- It churned out 20,184 points in the Cinebench R23 multi-core test
RTX 5070
As for the graphics card, we’ve reviewed the ASUS TUF RTX 5070 OC and the MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5070 OC.
