For gaming, an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is a solid option for most people, but having 16GB does unlock a fair few benefits. First up, having more VRAM is going to give you a lot more headroom when working in commonly used apps like Premiere Pro and Blender, making it a much better option for professional creatives. In terms of gaming, it primes this build to handle future, more demanding releases, and can come in handy if you’re playing asset-heavy or modded games, too.

The CPU here is also very interesting and well-suited to the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. It features 8 cores, 16 threads, a 5.5GHz boost clock speed, and 32MB L3 cache. It’s a punchy all-rounder alternative to the likes of the Intel i7-14700F, which I often see in RTX 5060 Ti 16GB builds. While these PCs are usually a touch cheaper, they’re on an older LGA 1700 socket. This Ryzen CPU is AM5, which makes it much more future-facing. I’d say that’s worth paying a premium for, personally.

Like the CPU, the cooling is also entirely appropriate for the configuration as a whole. Neither the Ryzen 7 9700F nor the RTX 5060 Ti is particularly power-hungry, so it doesn’t need some behemoth 360 mm AIO liquid cooler. Instead, you’ve got an air cooler and a fair few fans to help keep thermals in check.

With 32GB of DDR5, you’re getting far-reaching benefits for more than just gaming. Yes, it’ll improve gaming performance and reduce micro-stuttering, but it’ll also make a whole lot of difference when working on complex creative projects. Having this much RAM can be a game-changer for workflows. One good way to save on a prebuild is to opt for a smaller 1TBS SSD, which is what we have here. It’s enough for a good handful of games alongside your other files, and you can always upgrade in the future (hopefully when SSD prices come down!)

Who is this PC for?

If you’re splitting your time between reasonably demanding creative work and gaming in FHD and QHD, then this is a smart pick at its current price. I’d even say that, as far as sub-$2,000 prebuilds go, it’s one of the better-looking options out there. Small, intentional design features like its unique RGB corner power button, ARGB lighting, and tempered glass panels certainly make it stand out for all the right reasons.

Things to consider

At this price, you could get a pretty decent RTX 5070 prebuild, which I’d say would have the edge for gaming and likely come with a more robust, upgrade-friendly cooling architecture, PSU, and PC case. That being said, most RTX 5070 builds with 32GB of DDR5 can easily tip the scales at over $2,000, so that’s worth keeping in mind.
