Gigabyte’s superb QD-OLED, 240Hz QHD gaming monitor is still only $299.99 with Newegg deal
Table of Contents
It’s no surprise that this Gigabyte QHD gaming monitor is Newegg’s number 1 best seller right now, as it’s one of the most affordable options I’ve personally come across and a very strong pick from a price-to-performance perspective. The good news is that it’s still available with a solid discount, coming at $299.99.
So what are you getting for the price here? Well, it’s QD-OLED, which means self-illuminating pixels instead of a more traditional backlight, for much deeper blacks, excellent contrast, and more lifelike color. In fact, this particular model is impressive in this regard, with a 1.5M:1 contrast ratio, 99% DCI-P3, and 10-bit color. Not only is that great for showcasing games at their best, but it’s also a big win if you’re after something for accurate creative edits, too.
Now, as for gaming performance, it’s relatively straightforward. 240Hz and 0.03ms response time make it a strong pick for gaming at high frame rates, and FreeSync Premium further improves motion smoothness by eliminating screen tearing and stutter. There’s also your sprinkling of features designed to give you the edge when playing competitively, which I’ll get into later.

This is the type of monitor that’s genuinely impressive for gaming, but without the huge price tag, and it would pair very well with practically any QHD gaming PC, in my opinion. I’d say that the only thing slightly lacking here is a few more premium features, which is to be expected. For instance, you haven’t got FreeSync Premium Pro, USB-C with 90W PD (for laptop charging), and its HDR is quite basic (HDR10 only). Does that matter? No, not really, in all honesty. This is a fantastic monitor for the price, and well worth considering.
More standout features of this GIgabyte 27-inch QHD OLED gaming monitor
Semi-glossy coating
This is a clever idea that accentuates color and contrast, but without being overly reflective. Anti-glare is great and all, but OLEDs like this are better in lower-light environments anyway.
AI black equalizer
This isn’t exactly unique, but it’s useful, for sure. It basically increases the exposure in dark areas of the map without overexposing bright areas, so you can see opponents hiding in the shadows.
OLED protection
Choosing an established brand is often a great way to get peace of mind against burn-in, and this monitor is a good example. Like brands such as MSI, Samsung, and LG, this monitor has built-in systems that can prevent burn-in automatically, along with various heat sinks to manage its thermals.
Is this monitor right for you?
If you’ve got a good QHD gaming PC, yes, especially if you want to keep costs down. If you increase your budget to around $400, you’ll start coming across 280Hz models, mostly, and potentially some displays with better HDR and FreeSync Premium. At $500, you’re going to start seeing 360Hz QD-OLEDs, which are designed more with RTX 5070 Ti or even RTX 5080 builds in mind.
Either way, this monitor ticks all the most important boxes for most people, and you just can’t beat that price! Check out our top gaming monitor deals below to see what else has caught our eye.
