For many years a true challenger to the MacBook Air for those after a Windows device never materialised, until the 2024 variant of the Microsoft Surface Laptop was released, which really changed the game. Every model since, including this latest 2026 model, has matched Apple’s slimline, high-build quality device pound for pound, coming with an excellent display, great typing keyboard, surprisingly good speakers, and terrific battery life. The only downside of this great machine is of course the price, however, this great deal for $150 off the MSRP helps in that department quite considerably. Rest assured, if I didn’t already own the 2025 version myself, I’d be grabbing this laptop straight away for my daily productivity notepad when on the go.
Microsoft Surface Laptop (2026, 15″, 1TB SSD)

15-inch 120Hz PixelSense touchscreen
The 15-inch PixelSense display combines a high-resolution LCD panel with touch support and a 120Hz refresh rate. The larger screen is well suited to spreadsheets, creative applications, multitasking, and media, while the higher refresh rate makes scrolling and interface movement feel noticeably smoother than on conventional 60Hz business laptops.
Up to 19 hours of battery life
Microsoft rates this configuration for up to 19 hours of video playback. Combined with the efficient ARM-based Snapdragon platform and 66.08Wh battery, the Surface Laptop is designed to remain usable for long working days without relying heavily on mains power.
16GB LPDDR5X and 1TB SSD
The combination of 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD provides a solid balance for mainstream professional use. The storage capacity is particularly useful for users dealing with large documents, media libraries, development projects, or offline files, while 16GB remains sufficient for typical productivity and multitasking workloads.
Wi-Fi 7 and USB4 connectivity
Wi-Fi 7 gives the Surface Laptop access to the latest wireless networking standard when paired with compatible infrastructure. Two USB-C/USB4 ports also provide high-speed data transfer, charging, DisplayPort output, and support for external displays, making the machine considerably more flexible when used as part of a desktop setup.
Who should buy this 15-inch Microsoft Surface Laptop deal?
The 15-inch Surface Laptop is aimed at users who want a premium Windows notebook focused more on mobility, battery endurance, productivity, and AI-assisted workflows than on gaming or heavy GPU rendering.
Its large touchscreen makes it a strong option for business users, students, developers, writers, analysts, and creative professionals who want more workspace than a compact 13-inch machine can provide.
It is also especially appealing to users who prioritize battery life and portability. At around 3.67 pounds, it remains relatively light for a 15-inch laptop despite offering a large display and 66Wh battery.
The main caveat is the ARM-based Snapdragon platform. Most mainstream Windows applications are supported natively or through emulation, but users relying on specialist legacy software, low-level drivers, certain engineering applications, or niche peripherals should confirm compatibility before moving away from a conventional x86 laptop.
