LG 27GX Ultragear OLED Gaming Monitor
What made the LG 27GX790B-B stand out
Insane dual-mode performance
This gaming monitor comes with a feature that lets you decide to either run QHD at a frame rate of 540Hz or FHD at a remarkable 720Hz. The 2K setting is more suitable for scenarios where you require a clear image and extremely fluent gameplay. On the other hand, the 720Hz mode is intended to be used by competitive players where top-notch motion clarity and fast response time are a necessity. That is, you are not forced into one experience; you have the freedom to switch between the high visual quality and the high speed given the type of game.
OLED picture quality and DisplayHDR True Black 500
Equipped with LG’s 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology, the display showcases deep black levels and pixel-level contrast features typical for OLED panels, yet simultaneously enhances brightness and efficiency compared to the designs of older OLEDs. Add to this DisplayHDR True Black 500, and you get dark scenes that keep black really deep while, at the same time, the super-bright highlights have a stronger contrast. So basically, when you are playing games, dark places, fireworks, rays of the sun shining in, or other scenes involving very high contrasts become super immersive, perfect for story-based games.
Superb color gamut coverage
This monitor is suitable for more than just gaming. With 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, it can display a large number of colors, making games look more colorful and vibrant. Why is this important? When you have a large color gamut, a series of similar colors can be accurately showcased without the output being flat or oversaturated. This makes it great for content creation, color grading, and editing as well.
4-pole Jack and DTS HP:X: Gaming
An amazing feature of this LG gaming monitor is the 4-pole headphone jack that comes included. It supports audio and microphone signals simultaneously, allowing your gaming headset to only need one cable to get sound as well as transmit voice. On top of that, DTS Headphone:X enables the feature of virtual surround sound, which essentially allows a person to perceive sound more closely through the head movements of the person playing the game.
In multiplayer situations, this can be very helpful because sound localization becomes easier, like being able to detect whether the steps are coming behind you or not, to name a few.
