MSI RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC ‘early Prime deal’ drops to its lowest in 30 days
Table of Contents
The MSI Codex R2 is a very decent mid-range gaming PC that offers a complete package for first-time buyers, as it comes with a gaming mouse and keyboard. The peripherals allow you to save money, but the major components are also pretty amazing. You’ll get the Core Ultra 7 265 for heavy lifting, while the RTX 5060 Ti (8GB) will handle gaming and various GPU-intensive tasks. What this means is that you can easily run AAA games at 1440p and tackle content creation, rendering, and heavy multitasking.
It also features 32GB DDR5 RAM with a 2TB SSD, both of which are decent specifications for a modern gaming PC. Other than that, there is a 5G Ethernet port, which is perfect for gaming, streaming, and work, but you’ll also get WiFi 6E for a solid wireless connection. So, it has pretty good overall value, and right now you can score it for $2,099.99, while the original asking price was $2,999.99.

What we liked about the MSI Codex R2
Core Ultra 7 265 drives great productivity
This processor is powered by 20 cores and threads based on the Arrow Lake architecture, a 5.3GHz boost clock speed, and a base 65W TDP. It also comes with integrated graphics and an NPU, making it a well-rounded offering. This is perfect for everyday use and heavy lifting such as 4K video editing, 3D rendering, compression, code compilation, and more. This architecture favors multi-core performance over single-core, meaning it is better suited for productivity and CPU-intensive workflows. That being said, you’ll also get a decent gaming output, but comparatively, it isn’t the best CPU for gaming.

RTX 5060 Ti is perfect for modern gaming
You’ll get the 8GB variant of the RTX 5060 Ti, which might not be very popular, but it is a great budget offering for 1440p and 1080p gaming. The 8GB VRAM doesn’t allow it to handle 4K gaming, heavy AI models, or textures very well, but its raw gaming output is pretty decent. You can run any AAA titles at 1440p with this card without having to enable DLSS 4.5 or MFG for enhanced performance. One thing to keep in mind is that it is good for light content creation, but its limited memory doesn’t make it the best GPU for super heavy workflows.
WiFi 6E and 5G port provide robust connectivity
WiFi 6E gives you tri-band connectivity, meaning that you’ll have the option to have a wireless connection with the 6GHz band, which has a higher bandwidth and can deliver more speed compared to 6GHz. This is great for 4K streaming, online gaming, and more. However, you simply can’t beat a wired connection, and with the 5G port, you can experience the full potential of your multi-gigabit internet connection. Downloading and uploading large files will be quick, online gaming will have lower latency, and you can do all this simultaneously.
