Newegg deal drops Skytech King 95 PC with RTX 5080 and Ryzen 7 9800X3D to its lowest price in 30 days
Table of Contents
The Skytech King 95 lineup is a great way to go if you’re looking for something well-balanced, with good build quality, wiggle room for upgrades, and great aesthetics. This RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D build has dipped to its lowest price in 30 days over at Newegg, with a decent $200 discount knocking it down to $2,899.99.
So how does this price stack up against your typical RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D prebuild? Well, actually quite well, to be honest. These Skytech prebuilds usually come in at a higher-than-average price point, and this deal brings it closer to standard pricing in some senses. It’s also worth noting that it packs a 2TB SSD and 32GB of DDR5, which, at least nowadays, can tip the overall price higher than you’d expect.
With its 850W PSU, robust AIO cooling, and roomy PC case, it’s primed for powerful gaming performance off the bat, but also in a decent position for upgrades in the future, too. As it is now, it’s a very strong pick for 4K gaming with ray tracing and high-fps gaming at lower resolutions, even with CPU-bound titles like popular esports games. Its processor is still one of the very best gaming CPUs on the market, and since it’s AM5, you’ve got a clear runway for upgrades in the future, too. Overall, it’s a fantastic prebuild, and for the price, I’d say you’re really getting your money’s worth here.

What we like about this Skytech Gaming King 95 PC
Powerful graphics card for 4K and ray tracing, with Blackwell features
The RTX 5080 is a powerhouse for 4K gaming and ray tracing, thanks in part to its 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, improved 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and exclusive features like MFG, powered by 5th-gen tensor cores. It’s also very adept at handling demanding creative workflows, like working in 3D or 4K video editing, too.
One of the best gaming CPUs on the market
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D features 8 cores, 16 threads, a 5.2GHz boost clock speed, and a massive 96MB L3 cache, making it outstanding for high framerate, super-smooth gaming with very low latency. Its 3D V-cache technology makes it notably superior for gaming to the likes of some of the Intel Core Ultra series processors, which typically have the edge when it comes to multitasking performance.
Loads of RAM and storage is a big win
With prices fluctuating widely in recent months, buying small, then waiting to upgrade with either RAM or storage, may not be the wisest idea. Grabbing a machine with 32GB of DDR5 and 2TB storage from the get-go saves you some potential hassle and is aligned more with modern gaming requirements, too.
Things to consider before buying
If you want something similar, but potentially a touch cheaper, I’d check out some of Andromeda Insights and Stormcraft’s RTX 5080 gaming PCs at Newegg, too. They’re often discounted, but I’d ignore the ‘price cut’ and focus on how close they are to the $2,700 mark if you’re going for an RTX 5080, 7 9800X3D, 32GB, 2TB model. Realistically, I reckon you could maybe save $100, but it’s worth noting that Skytech is well regarded for its build quality and uses punchy coolers, too.
