Newegg deal plunges budget-friendly ABS RTX 5060 gaming PC under $950
Table of Contents
This budget-friendly ABS Cyclone Aqua gaming PC is now $250 off at Newegg, and has been reduced from $1,999.99 to $949.99. For an RTX 5060 build, that’s pretty much as low as it gets from a pricing perspective, and great value if you’re looking for something for primarily high refresh rate 1080p gaming, but with 50-series exclusive features like MFG, for instance. The CPU here is the Intel Core 5 processor 120, which is quite a ‘basic’ option that gives you everything you need for gaming, and on top of that, you’ve got 32GB of DDR4 and a 1TB SSD. For under $950, this is a great shout if you’re looking for an entry-level 50-series prebuild and you want an RTX 5060 PC for practically the price of an RTX 5050 rig.

Key features of this ABS Cyclone Aqua RTX 5060 gaming PC
Intel Core 5 120 processor
This build features an Intel Core 5 120 processor, which is a budget-oriented CPU with 6 cores, 12 threads, an 18MB smart cache, and a boost clock speed of 4.5GHz. Interestingly, it’s a CPU that doesn’t have any efficiency cores, so it’s really all about giving you the basics for gaming without breaking the bank. In that sense, it’s not a bad choice for the RTX 5060, especially if you’re primarily using it for FHD gaming at high fps.
RTX 5060 graphics card
If you’re after solid 1080p gaming performance, plus the latest tech and features from Nvidia’s 50-series, this is one of the best graphics cards to go for on a budget. Typically, RTX 5060 gaming PCs hover between $950 to $1,150 in most cases, with exceptions, of course. This card delivers a lot for the price, as it’s packed with high-end components, including 5th-gen tensor cores, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and GDDR7 VRAM, all of which put it a cut above many of the competitor 1080p cards from an overall perspective. What’s more, while its 8GB of VRAM may not be ideal for higher resolutions and textures, it does feature MFG, which can be used to push perceived fps higher. With entry-level 50-series cards, this is a big win that can help compensate for their more modest specs, comparatively speaking, that is.

RAM and storage
At under $1,000, it’s fairly common to see DDR4 instead of DDR5, which is what you’ve got here. The good news is that there’s a fair whack of it in this build, coming in at 32GB of DDR4, which is great. This is going to help with multitasking, gaming, and making video and photo editing feel more responsive. For storage, you’ve got a standard 1TB SSD, which is fine for most people, and more than enough for a good handful of games.
Things to consider
Personally, I think the sweet spot for an RTX 5060 build is around $1,100, as any higher and it starts becoming a better idea to get an RTX 5060 Ti instead. At $1,100, you can usually find pretty capable processors and DDR5 RAM, both of which are going to give you a more well-rounded machine that’s good for more than just gaming, and also better at pushing higher fps at 1080p, too, which is where the RTX 5060 shines. ABS is great for these PCs from a value perspective, as is Skytech, and Yeyian, especially.
