For Full HD gaming, a 240Hz refresh rate is sensible. And whether you’re a keen competitive online gamer or want a snappy second screen, the Dell 24 SE2426HG is worth considering. The 23.8-inch monitor is back in an Amazon deal, dropping it from its recent $120 price to a more likable $100. That’s a reasonable cost for this no-fuss monitor, too, because it covers the key needs for gaming and can double as a daily-use screen.

Why we’d pick the Dell 24 SE2426HG Gaming Monitor
A 240Hz refresh rate
For Full HD gaming, you don’t really want a refresh rate less than 240Hz if you can help it. It’s the rate that Esports professionals use, and supporting up to 240 frames per second allows you to keep up with every bit of action in multiplayer games. The monitor also features a lightning-quick 0.5ms response time for near-instantaneous responsiveness.
Compact pick for daily use
If space is tight, this Dell monitor’s 23.8-inch profile makes it a good pick for a home office or daily computing. It offers 99% sRGB color coverage, so you can enjoy vivid and accurate tones. Plus, this model is TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified, so it reduces blue light while maintaining color, and the screen is tilt-adjustable.

Console-friendly
If you’re looking for a low-cost PC and console-friendly monitor, the Dell 24 SE2426HG is a fair pick. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium and VRR (variable refresh rate) via HDMI. So you can enjoy responsive, enjoyable Full HD gaming, whichever device you choose to connect.
What to consider before you buy
The Dell 24 SE2426HG is a good pick at this improved deal price, although it has been cheaper before. With that in mind, you should be happy with the cost and features available before you buy: this is a more niche, Full HD monitor at a smaller-than-standard size. If you want something a little larger, or you’re tempted by a monitor that supports 1440p, check out our best gaming monitors guide.
