SATA III interface
The CS900 uses the SATA III, which is also backwards compatible with the SATA II. This is significant as it makes the drive compatible with the large majority of older computers and laptops, which don’t have an M.2 NVMe slot. The compromise is that SATA III has much lower bandwidth than contemporary PCIe NVMe storage. This isn’t meant to rival an expensive Gen 4 or Gen 5 NVMe SSD.
