What we liked about the Y40 gaming PC
Core Ultra 7 265F
This is the watered-down variant of the Core Ultra 7 265K, as it can’t be overclocked and has a 65W TDP. However, it still has the same 20 cores and threads and features a 5.3GHz boost clock speed and can pull 182W at max. So, when the going gets tough, this processor can pull heavy weight with ease, and the multi-core performance of Arrow Lake processors is already exceptional. It can’t be overclocked, but you can still get better performance by overclocking the GPU and RAM. It will allow you to run various apps in parallel without sacrificing output.

RTX 5070
The RTX 5070 pairs perfectly with the Core Ultra 7 265F, as both of them are mid-range offerings and can easily handle ultra 1440p gaming. However, it isn’t all about gaming performance, as this duo also promotes streamlined content creation, 4K video editing, 3D rendering, AI tasks, and more. The 12GB DDR7 VRAM of this GPU can house complex 3D scenes, 4K textures, local AI models, and other heavy data with ease, resulting in smooth processing. You can also leverage NVIDIA Studio for optimized performance in creative workflows and DLSS and MFG to increase the gaming potential. 32GB DDR5 RAM
For a modern gaming PC, 32GB of DDR5 RAM is perfect, as it gives it a huge memory overhead for demanding apps and processes. Every process is loaded into the RAM, and the CPU accesses it from there. So, the more space there is, the more data can be loaded at a time, meaning fewer breaks and delays for the CPU as it gets the entire chunk in one go. This makes the system more efficient and eliminates bottlenecks as well.
240mm AIO
While the Core Ultra 7 265F is very efficient, you can never go wrong with a robust CPU cooler. This will keep the entire system running in optimal condition, as the processor won’t get overheated. When the 265F hits its boost clock speed and pulls more power, it’ll generate more heat, but with this cooler on top of it, you won’t have to worry about that.
